The Networking Illusion on LinkedIn: It’s Not How Much, But How You Do It

Networking on LinkedIn can feel like you're in a constant state of motion. You connect, you like, you comment, you message. But then, you look at the tangible results of all this activity, and it’s disappointing.

There’s a common thread I've noticed among many professionals who are dedicated to their LinkedIn networking but aren't seeing the returns they expect.

Here’s the thing: Many believe they're just not networking enough or that they haven’t mastered the 'right way' to network.

“Maybe I need to connect with more people,” they think. Or,

“Perhaps I’m not engaging enough.”

But the real issue is often more subtle and significant. It's not about the sheer volume of your networking efforts but about the depth and strategy behind them.

Think about it this way. You're at a large networking event, you shake hands with dozens of people and exchange business cards, but you don’t really have any meaningful conversations.

The next day, you're just a name on a card, quickly forgotten.

This is what happens when your LinkedIn networking lacks strategy.

The key isn't to cast a wider net but to build a better one

I’m talking about shifting your approach from quantity to quality.

For instance, when you connect with someone new, don’t just move on to the next connection.

  • Take a moment to understand their profile, see what they’re passionate about, and start a conversation around that.

  • Follow up on these conversations.

  • Share resources that are relevant to their interests or challenges.

Treat each connection as a potential relationship, not just a number in your network.

Think of it like planting seeds. You don’t just scatter them randomly and hope for the best; you plant them deliberately, nurture them, and watch them grow.

That’s how I approach LinkedIn networking when working with clients inside of my 6-week 1:1 Intensive.

And I can show you how to do the same.

All of this work is aimed at helping you to create a (minimum) six-figure income stream from a small number of corporate clients.

The investment for this experience is $9K - relatively modest considering the hours I dedicate to meticulously analyzing your current marketing, the insights I share from working with decision-makers, the acute ability I've developed to identify opportunities and areas for improvement with unparalleled speed, and the results that kind of precision can get.

Past clients have added multiple six figures to their revenue and tripled their prices.

If interested, fill out the form in the Work with Me tab. We will chat to see if this would be a great fit for you.
